2001 is coming, sounds so futuristic, even more futuristic than Year 2000. It's silly how people in 1968 could believe in rapid space advancements. I still hope to fly to the moon myself (and come back - metric system is a good thing). Evil computers probably will be the first achievements of humanity out of all predictions of the movie, but I don't think they will go bad on their own, some "smart people" will make them that way.
